Eight coastlines, one gaiwan waiting at dawn

Tea.surf keeps resident masters at eight houses — Uluwatu’s Bukit, the Ericeira cliffs and the Nazaré headland in Portugal, a Hossegor pine cabin, a bluff above Jeffreys Bay, a Punta Mita casita, a Niijima tatami shack, and a cliff house above Byron’s Wategos. Each opens with a Chinese tea service before first light — kettle on, board waxed, the sea still glassy.
